Shaping, not removing, the beard

Beard line and cheeks treats only the hair above your chosen beard line and on the cheeks, leaving the beard itself untouched. You and your specialist agree on the exact line before the first session, and the same map is used every visit so the edge stays consistent.

The neck is where most men get razor bumps and ingrown hairs, because the hair grows at an angle and the skin is sensitive. Full neck treats the front and back from the jawline to the collar. Over a series, the hair reduces and the bumps usually go with it.

Both treatments are short, fifteen to twenty minutes, in a private room. Because facial hair is coarse and dark, it is among the most responsive hair we treat. Keep in mind that a treated beard line is a long-term decision; we will talk that through at your consultation.

What a session is like

  1. Before. Shave the area to be treated the day before, leaving the beard you are keeping. No waxing for four weeks, no sun for two weeks, and arrive with clean, product-free skin.
  2. During. Your specialist marks the line with you, matches the settings to your skin and hair, then treats above the line and across the neck in a few quick passes. The jawline edge is the most sensitive spot; it is over in seconds.
  3. After. Pinkness for a few hours is normal. Shave gently or not at all for a day, use sunscreen daily, and let the treated hairs fall out over one to two weeks. No plucking.

Will the laser affect the beard I want to keep?

No. Only the hair above the agreed line and on the cheeks is treated. Your specialist marks the line with you before every session.

Does laser help with razor bumps on the neck?

Razor bumps are ingrown hairs. As the hair reduces over a series of sessions, there is less to grow back into the skin, so most clients find the bumps ease considerably.

What does the neck treatment cost?

The price sheet lists the front or back of the neck; Booksy lists the full neck, front and back. We are confirming which price applies, so the studio confirms it at your consultation before any treatment. The current neck price is shown in the table above.

Can I change the beard line later?

You can always move the line higher, treating more. You cannot bring treated hair back, so we recommend a conservative line to begin with.
